What if Europeans had Discovered America?

Among the (unexplicated, not made explicit) fantasies of science fiction is the plot line/scenario of an alternative history: what if Europeans had discovered America (first).  I mean other than in the sense one "discovers" a new restaurant,  or book store.  Naturally it didn't mushroom up over night, other customers were there. But I mean, instead of the Asians, who did discover it, them, North and South, America being the both of them, both Americas?   A pristine continent, often located on distant, re-located, planets.  Around other stars.   Possibly in an alternate time, space-time, line.   A common male fantasy:  the lone male left after a universal, or world wide apocalypse, left with a small harem of females. Is another scenario.   Less literary, more science fictiony than a Lord of the Flies island with boys who will be boys. Scenario. It is.    The pristine planet.     That American Indians are ...

Double Star: of Phobias and Sylvanias. Communal barn raisings. There!

Image
A famous person   Our list of phobias:   a)  Islamophobia   b)  Transphobia   c)  Fatsphobia   Notable is the list for its brevity.  Fats is plural to indicativize our inclusion of both Transfats and Cisfats .   Why so short?   The classic (fictional) work on phobias in their genuine term application is a book called Double Star about an actor named Lorenzo Smythe.                                                Classic"  on Phobias.   It is (en)titled to make it sound more science fictiony than it actually is.  It's more a work on sociology and psychology. Never the less, (it's) a classic.   Phobia 's...

Civil War Two: the American Civil War, Part 2.

Image
.    The Civil War is over.  The "North" lost (this time).   It was fought, not with Proud Boys and 2a folk and States Rights, Wrongs, anything of that ilk.   It was fought by two foreign-born (or foreign) billionaires using their fame and leverage.  And with the war of ideas. Free speech freely wielded. On "our" side we had assassins and murderers, thought police, and word police. The Hyacinth Robinson who " went Tyler " and in so doing marked the decisive defeat for our worn-out psychotically out of touch antideas (in the Pierre Dubois-Melvin sense). And our loss and our surrender.  Antideas? These what passed in our minds for ideas can be summed up in these two pictures, images, imagineds:    And:     The first civil war was about race.  The second civil war, the War Against Woke was (was) about race in an extended sense, the female race. And the male race. Intertwined, bound by binds. Never to be "deconstructed (de...

The Emancipation of Gender. Trick or Treat bag.

Image
How did gender emancipate itself and go flying into the Sun from the safe alma mater of Earth and ground and autochthonous roots, with wax wings and melt myth?    The common perception is that the dissonance free (or ignoring) cosmic (and cognitive) invocation of the emancipated concept has origins in a simple continuity, or progress:  the gay rights movement, and the much touted "alphabet" identities simply being a gradus ad parnassum of moral Art.   G -->  LGB -->  LGBT -->  but ... is there more to it, behind it, alternative to it than this?                                                     2SLGBTQI+     I contend that it's nothing whatever to do with the pageant of alphabet inclusion and parade of ... well, not shame .   I hold that the real root of the course (and the discourse) is...

What is a Man? (A Hotel California?)

Image
It has been asked, the question? What is a Woman?    But this is the wrong question.  According to elite manospherian (Manosphere 2) theory, one should, the question to ask is, "What is a Man?"     The Cult of Man.   The cult of man (Manosphere 2) is akin to a mafia, a secret society, an if you will, a cult. But you don't get to turn state's witness, testify against it, get plastic surgery (or worse) and go into witness protection. In short it is, in more or less lyric formalism, it is much like the "Hotel California":   You can check out any time you want (dissociate e. g.) (you can day dream) but you can never leave.      Dream on,     It is very  like the beauty and the beast :   You can stab it with your steely knife, but you just can't kill the beast.  ...     ...

The Extreme Male Brain and the Extremist Male Brain.Culta devisa est in partes tres.

Image
Over-correcting self-lefteousness.                       Compensates for empathy deficit  by becoming a social justice warrior.   According to the extreme-male brain theory by nature males are in a kind of Yin/Yang manner less easily side tracked by empathy.  When there were fewer than 8 billion of us this was not the inconvenience it has since for some become.   Females, by nature designed to nurture, are natural empaths. The three ways to go off the rails as hyper-males are our old friends, the autistics, the narcissists, and the psychopaths. All the antitheses of our female friends.   Now imagine a scenario where the Earth has gotten crowded. Say there's a tipping point, maybe as a random amount choose 8 billion.  Beyond which there are fewer wild wests where to seek one's fortune. Not as many "colonies" for the second son to go along and adventure on one's hero's journey amid...

Impressionisms.

Image
Strangely enough impressionism first showed up in the funkscapes of Herbie Hancock after "headhunters,"  although foreshadowed in vibratoless Miles with, often, mute.   The terminus of Romanticism in the dissolution the dissolving of common practice harmony and the "emancipation of the consonance" in Ravelian pulse and Debussyan wave is a "groove" of its own:  a sea groove of wind and wave.   In between Jazz from WW2 until the analogous kinds of discoveries by McCoy Tyner and his band mates, Jimmy Garrison. Elvin. And the tenor man, who paved the way for Ponty and his Violin.   Tyner, Tenor, and the boys.   These guys were the Debussys of post war, 1964.   And now, while sex drugs and rock and roll gives way to hormones, gender and ... did we decide "punk." (?) And the autismaticity of jerky jerky klutzy New Wave. Who's the impressionism of our day?   We have to go all the way back to the comeback, well, not exactly kids.   The two, th...

Hopi Hippo: a fibonaccio rhyme.

Hopi Hippo.   Kawayo:  Why, Yucca? Yucca, why?

Looks aeterna.

Image
...   Looks maxxxing ...                                                                 'de la Ware'   ...  it started with wonderment at the fact that a certain Indian tribe had turned up in Oklahoma. As it happens, it was nothing to do with the Oklahoma tribe, but the Pied Piper of Tucson dumped the (unburied) bodies along "Pontatoc" road so why not?   More confusion.   As it happens, a silly post on Silly Linguistics on face book revealed how rotten knowledge is in the permission sector as we might have called it. And with this we return to more inside allusiveness, less of the anyone can scroll it and know it stuff. Back to how ... speaking of which, the blog first posted things to itself in July 2014 ...       I can't even ask why I can't even ask why google is doing this un...

My Story

Image
...   The Hero's Journey:  "do the work."                                             A hero in his own story.   My story, that I told to myself was this:  there were two parties, two ways to go, two roads, branching off from the one.   One way, was the way of tender-mindedness, consideration for humanity, humaneness. We all know, we who were educated prided ourselves on it, that it was only a noble mountain of lies. A mound of lies. A mouthfull of non-truths. But they were kind lies.  White lies.  The thin bright dusting of the snow of consideration for other people's feelings, and all pervaded through with the Buddhist precept of "right speech."    The effect on society, mood, attitude, spread a little kindness. That was our gauge.  We had known (they were very old) the Lost Generation.  A generation of sons of bitc...

Trump as Charlemagne: a Carolingian Renaissance under Trump.

Image
It’s a bizarre little quirk of contemporary left politics – people simultaneously believe that many crimes shouldn’t be prosecuted and that we should always work to reintegrate even the worst offenders into society, but if you violate any of the arcane language norms of 21st-century liberalism, you can never be redeemed.   First , the state of the "Art," some Trump era AI "slop" (we must for some reason probably Trump's porcine demeanor  call it "slop):               It can be found as I found it, in a blog post here . In the form of a book review, and as I saw it first, a comment:       The architecture is barbaric, the leader himself was cruel in the kindest assessment, but the disease was not as had been diagnosed (even in the perspicacity-bearing comment) a "feature" or "quirk" of left, or even far left, or even politics. It's a superstition of the most self-describedly and perceived generally liberal. T...

Update on the Nine Squares. A Musician Was ... The Whole Phenowomenon.

Image
"Sex, drugs, and Rock and Roll" was preceded by, and yes, ultimately it too was a delusion, by another:   "Love, Novels ("Romances"), and a musician was ...     Liszt,  Paganini, or even ... Chopin.   Sex, Drugs, and a musician was ...   Whoever, if not born black, could pass themselves off as "black" through enormous effort, self-discipline, and unswervingly steadfast application.   Which brings us to Punk, and I think of "Goth" as Perotin and Leonin and the Codex Calixtinus of Santiago de la Compostela. But I defer to Doctor Az ... who says it was ... well, something else. But a musician is:   A musician is whoever says they're a musician.   And that about sums up the whole phenomenon.

The Old Left, the New Left, and the Woo Left.

Image
The Old Left.   The Old Left can be roughly identified with Romanticism, Wagner, Liszt, Paganini, a rebellion against reason and rationality, in favor of idealism, and wishful thinking, projected onto the long ago, and the far away.    In practical terms it lead, although not to the American Revolution, but in America can be seen as the hopeful ecstatic Dionysian drive behind the Civil War .    As late as up until WW1 it lead from the French, to the Russian revolutions, and to women's rights to vote, and prohibition. Truly a sobering  Dionysianism it was in the event.   And more darkly, to ... but I won't mention that .   The cure for Romanticism was impressionism. " That " was German, and led to two world wars, This , was French, and led to a floating detachment, an almost "out of body" experience.   The New Left.   The New left can be identified roughly  with Rock and Roll, particularly with its more ...

Said in tones reminiscent of Alan Ginsburg's Howl. Moral Picnic. Phobiaphobia.

We could recite in tones reminiscent of Alan Ginsburg's Howl,   We have seen the entire 18 minute video of the horrific murder of Irina Zarutska. We have seen before the tech "bros" and "tards" censored it, the assassination of Charlie Kirk from "multiple" angles before they took it  down and out. We've seen a knife-wielding maniac up in arms about the Salamanderiac burning of a very ... as Trump says ... "not nice" Codex.   All these things have prompted us to postulate a cursive back, curving back, to re-evaluate the antideas as they've rotted away to, of "moral panic. et c.   Let us now dream instead of Hoag's (fake) Moral Picnic.   And "get real" as they say IRL.   No more knee-jerk moral panics about "moral panic."   No more being spooked away from innate and all natural   Islamophobiaphobia .    The same could as easily be said of an other, needlessly pointed our if it were    - phobiaphobia  ...

Iisaw Niqw Pu' Tsirot.

Image
Yaw iisaw amumi taykyang kwangwa 'tuswa.   A Question of Motivation.   The myth of Icarus, (is) a metaphorical allegory of bipolar disorder:  manic depression on the most obvious interpretation,  "Carry on my wayward son," etc.    Yet there looms up like a Fool Moon, the fact of the Wright Brothers, Wilbur, Orville.  They really wanted to fly. And the rest is history by now.   So what drives people to want there to be such a thing as "non-binary" human beings? The allegory of mental illness, " a presenting symptom" thereof has seen proposal. Yet. And yet ...   The analogy, counterpart, to the Wright Brothers would be the "transhumanists."   Because it's there,  Climb Every Mountain, etc. etc. Yet what looms for the transhumanists is, immortality:  the Fountain of Youth.   Cishumanists I think in their hearts of hearts are none too few (or equally far, none to few ) and far between on this reading....

The (Judith) Butler did it: Hoag's Hoax yet again.

Image
"Sometimes all of our Thoughts are misgiven."       The peculiar theories of Judith Butler are based on a misinterpretation of what one might call synecdochally, " Schrödinger's Cat " ...   The link is to a short  video of the infamous "Ames Window," which like  Schrödinger's Cat is not to be taken at face value. It is a quirk of our viewpoint, of our evolutionary psychology, of our own perspective, not of the reality behind appearances.   The science fiction trope of "an indeterminate quantum fog" as philosophized on by such gigantic invertebrates of philosophy as Slavoj Žižek  has led us to the dead end of applied "social construction" theory. Misapplied to be the absolutely very least bit precise.   This amorphous nebulous Debussyan fog is where  (Judith) Butler makes/takes/gives/ misgives , her stand.   Where "they" make "their" stand as "they" would have it. The full book is here .    Ot...

High Intensity Orange Ouroboros Therapy. Wriggling Away.

Image
Man in orange-face.   Before laying out the therapy in practice, we examine some theorems of  High Intensity Orange Ouroboros Theory.   For extreme ex ample:  an axiom almost, "gender" is mythical .   Gender is mythical. Saying it is akin to the idea of luminiferous aether entirely exalts it on a podium of winners and runners up et al  in the  event it has not earned even a bronze medal at.  It has not placed. It has no place there.  It's more like certain beliefs of astrology or fads and fallacies of yore. Than a serious hypothesis of Science.   Gender ... ain't .   It follows, radically, by virtue of Yankee root yank up, there has never been nor ever will be a "trans" gender individual (or collective).   This applies to children, adults, vari...

Self-fulfillment for Memes.

Image
For expedience, simply imagine a phenomenal case where simply calling any given person an "x-phobe" instantly by virtue of the name-calling alone, creates that which it sought to opprobriate.   Calling person y an "x-phobe" creates more often than not, in the person of person y, a new x-phobe .   This is the thesis, that it's a case of a self-fullfilling "prophecy," and a very epimethean one by the lights, the orange spotlights shined, shone, on any would-be Stave Martins seeking excusation.    That's a corollary of BOT. Call it what,   You want.

Blue Ouroboros Theory: BOT (according to the orange): Orange Cringe. The OC.

Image
In Ayn Rand's now underrated Movie, The Fountainhead, an entire novel centers around the everyday narcissist situation of "audience capture," in the person of Gail Wynand, who is captured by his newspaper audience, and sadly if foreseeably  comes to a bad end.   Blue Ouroboros Theory as simply an idea or explanation for how one of our two  venerable, the more venerable of the two, political parties, just up and decides to devour itself alive. Audience capture, is the explanation, in theory. In the theory, in Blue Ouroboros Theory, "bots" who work in a automated boiler room type operation, with trolls, as "closers," real life humans who step in when a bot attracts engagement, seek influential and high profile "marks" to work their mentalist magic on.   As background we keep in mind Orange Ouroboros Theory, according to which, for those who are convinced by it, "gender" belongs filed under the same rubric, and orange rubric in t...
